A brief history of the games console
One of the things you have to be aware of when it comes to figuring out how to go about marketing your sight is making sure you are connecting with the right people. Especially when you starting out you need to make sure you are not in any way wasting any money on getting people to your site that simply aren’t going to use it for anything. As with all marketing strategies you need to figure out your audience, whether they be broad or niche. Take a case in point that is the games consol manufacturer Nintendo that has managed to survive where so many ended up failing. For example when the console era really took off with the battle between Sega and Nintendo with the Mega Drive and Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Each platform defined it’s owner and people battled over which was the best console. Yet out of all the companies that manufacture consoles Nintendo is the only one that has managed to surpass them all. Sega were the first to announce the Saturn and Atari tried one last attempt to regain popularity with the Jaguar (anyone have one of those?). Yet Nintendo was the only one to survive the release of the Playstation and Xbox. Nintendo have their niche of being very family orientated fun games for all ages. They are keeping their platforms simple, up to date and innovative. On the Nintendo DS portable device you can even access films and multiple platforms with the use of R4i cards, these great little things allow you to download films and games from you PC to watch and play on your DS. This company has always known their audience and despite never boasting HD graphics etc they have always remained popular and successful.
